Passion - You must have passion to drive you, whether it's in business, in your career of choice, or in doing whatever is closest to your heart. Passion will help you push through the toughest of times because you believe with all of your heart that you're doing what you're destined to do.
Research - Always do your research, so you know not only what is innovative, but the history of what's already been embarked upon. It's been said, 'We can chart our future clearly and wisely only when we know the path which has led to the present.'
Authenticity - Remain authentic in all that you do. As you've heard me say, 'To thine ownself be true!' (not my own quote but I'm a firm believer in this!) In philosophy, authenticity is the degree to which one is true to one's own personality, spirit, or character, despite external pressures.
Adapt - It can be tough sometimes, but it's so important to adapt, adjust or modify to the landscape as it changes around you. If you're not getting better, you're getting left behind. (T. Alan Armstrong)
Mentors - None of us knows everything, so when possible, seek out a mentor. Sometimes people can even mentor you from a distance, because you are observing their successes and missteps, while learning from them and using this knowledge in your own life.
Comfort in being uncomfortable - Embracing this concept forces you to 'grow' through the process and welcome a little stretching as you're reaching your destiny!
